Jewellery Warranty Against Defects
Avant Jewellery will at our option, repair or replace, jewellery assessed by our jewellers to be defective due to the manufacturing process within 12 months after the date of purchase. This warranty is offered in Australia only.
Jewellery Warranty Exclusions
The warranty against defects does not cover loss, damage, scratching or breakage of all or part of the goods due to normal wear, mishap, careless handling or improper use.
Cleaning is not covered by the warranty.
Making a warranty claim
All warranty claims require the item or items to be returned to Avant Jewellery for assessment. Sufficient packaging and postage will be at the customers cost, but may be refunded solely at Avant Jewellery’s discretion. Proof of purchase in the form of the receipt, plus a credit card, bank statement or tax invoice is required before we will process any warranty claim.
Australian Consumer Law
Avant Jewellery’s warranty against defects provides benefits in addition to the rights and remedies to which you are entitled under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Note: “major failure” has a specific meaning under the Australian Consumer Law.
