Description
Peach Moonstone is the lovely pale orange-pink variety of moonstone and it nearly always comes in cabochon form. Moonstone has a sheen, or “schiller” that is likened to the shine of the moon.
Moonstone is a romantic stone. It is a “stone of new beginnings”. Its strongest effect is that of calming the emotions.
The finest stones are found in Sri Lanka, where it is sometimes referred to as the “national stone”.
It is not as hard as other gemstones, however it is well suited to necklaces.
